WEST Limerick is preparing to shout Viva Espana next week at a special lunch celebrating Spanish food and wine.
Lunch is part of the West Limerick Food Series and will take place at Platform 22 Cafe, Barnagh Greenway Hub.
Fortunately, this coincides nicely with events across Ireland during what will be Spain’s sixth annual Food and Wine Week.
For lunch on Thursday, October 6, Olive Sheehan of Platform 22 prepared a very special menu.
“I am delighted to have designed a unique tapas menu that showcases local West Limerick food and drink producers. These will be paired with a tasting of 2 Spanish Camino wines, which matches our location on the Limerick Greenway, ”said Ms. Sheehan.
Tapas will include Cotter lamb burgers with pickled Limerick cucumber, Rigney’s Farm free-range pork belly with Attyflin Estate apple chutney, Cecil Gallagher potato-based patatas bravas and Bally goat cheese. served with Barnagh blackberries.
